Inception workshop on GEF vii project " Partnership and Innovative Financing to Mainstream Biodiversity and Land Management in Wet Zone of Sri Lanka

The Inception workshop of the GEF Vii Project on “ Partnership and Innovative Financing to Mainstream Biodiversity and Sustainable Land Management in Wet Zone of Sri Lanka” was held on 16.07.2027 at the Water’s Edge, Battaramulla under the chairmanship of Mr. B.K.Prabath Chandrakeerthi, Secretary, Ministry of Environment.

Dr. Sugath Yalegama, Secretary, Non-Cabinet Ministry of State Plantation Enterprise Reforms  and Ms. Azusa Kubota, Resident Representative of UNDP had delivered the remarks at this workshop. All relevant stakeholders were participated including project area of Rathnapura, Kalutara, Matara, Nuwaraeliya, Galle and Kegalle.
