Validation Workshop on the draft National Policy on Mangrove Conservation and Sustainable Use

The Ministry has established the National Expert Committee on Mangrove conservation sustainable use’ whose responsibility would be coordinate and steer the activities related to the conservation and sustainable use of mangrove ecosystems. One of the major activity is to prepare National Policy on Mangrove conservation and sustainable use. The Biodiversity Secretariat conducted a series of workshops for drafting the policy. One of the above validation workshops was held on the 12^th of August 2016 at the Center for Banking Studies with members of the National Expert Committee on Mangrove conservation and sustainable use, stakeholder agencies, NGOs and other professionals in the mangrove field.
